Brewed Awakening Coffee Co.

Sisters. Coffee. Community.

Our Story

What started as a dream between two sisters became a gathering place for the whole community.

We grew up watching our grandmother turn every kitchen into a coffee house — the aroma, the conversations, the warmth of a cup shared with someone you love. When we found this old brick building on 2nd Avenue, we knew it was time to carry that tradition forward.

Our kids help out after school, regulars know each other by name, and every drink is made with the kind of care you can only get from a family that genuinely loves what they do. This isn’t a franchise — it’s our home, and you’re always welcome in it.

Rooted in Rock Island

More than coffee — we’re part of the neighborhood

Rock Island has always been a city of makers, artists, and dreamers. We’re proud to be part of that tradition. From hosting open mic nights and local art shows to sourcing pastries from Quad Cities bakers, everything we do is rooted in this community. When you grab a seat at Brewed Awakening, you’re not just getting a great cup of coffee — you’re sitting down with your neighbors.

Open Mic Nights

Every Friday evening — acoustic sets, poetry, and whatever our neighbors want to share.

Local Art Shows
